Precast Africa is a South African precast manufacturing and industrialised-
construction company. We cast complete reinforced-concrete room modules —
PPVC, prefabricated prefinished volumetric construction — under factory
control, finish them indoors, then deliver whole buildings to developers through
one accountable team.

Conventional building cannot close South Africa’s housing gap. It is
too slow, too wasteful, and too exposed to weather, delay and a
shrinking skills base. So we moved the building into the factory: a
volumetric precast manufacturing system that casts a monolithic
room module every production day, to a standard that holds
because it is made in controlled conditions rather than assembled
in the open.
What we are working towards is simple to say and hard to do —
durable, dignified buildings delivered in months instead of years, at
a quality the people who live and work in them can feel, and at a
cost and programme a developer can commit to before the first
pour.

Casting moves off the critical path. PPVC modules are manufactured in parallel with site
preparation, so programmes shorten by 30–40% against equivalent in-situ construction.

Every module is cast in a steel mould under one inspection regime, so the fiftieth unit is
held to the standard of the first — and each carries its own production record.
Up to 90% less construction waste than site-built methods, lower-carbon concrete
mixes, locally sourced materials, and a 100+ year design life.

Every Precast Africa building starts as a room cast in a single
piece of reinforced concrete — four walls and a roof in one
pour — then fitted out indoors and assembled on site.
The Core module is the room itself — a monolithic
reinforced-concrete volume with straight, non-tapered walls
and an integral roof, with door and window openings formed
in the mould rather than cut afterwards. Every development
model is assembled from the same two cast volumes: one
for habitable space, one for vertical circulation.

Adjustable horizontal mould casting a full flight with
two landings. Tread and riser set on guided step
formers; width adjusted with magnet-fixed side
